4g wireless broadband will enhance your speed upto 100Mbps ideally

4G technology will enter into our life in 2010.Many companies working on 4 Generation mobile networks .Ideal data rate for 4G Is 100Mbps which is really very fast and it also provide end-to-end IP connectivity before 4G we are already using 2G,2.5G 3G in different countries.2.5 G providing EDGE and GPRS which enhanced the internet speed upto 384Kbps and widely using all around the world.3g wireless broadband still not implemented in many developing countries or implemented with limited speed rather than ideal speed.

In 3G soft evolution accured from GPRS to UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunication System) and cdma2000 enhanced data rate up to 2Mbps.Telecommunication industry already achieved a very good data rate but 4G which is going to launch in near future will enhance the speed of internet upto 100Mbps as i have already mentioned above.4G mobile broadband have competition with WIMAX broadband.According to BBC NEWS, Nokia signed up with Sony Ericsson,NEC and other vendor companies previous year for emerging mobile standard LTE which is also known as 4G mobile technology.

In cellular networks specially GSM is widely spreading industry all around the world.GSM companies want to enhance their networks to 4G technologies. So there will be competition between WIMAX and rest of 4G mobile networks.WIMAX is famous for fixed and mobile LAN'S.It cover area upto 70km.It also uses very high frequency due to which it has a great capacity in one cell.

On the other hand 4G mobile networks which will evolve from GSM uses low frequency as compared to WIMAX so its capacity for each cell will decrease and less number of users in one cell as compared to WIMAX but on the other hand 4G mobile networks provide greater range as compared to WIMAX.

Company like verizon will provide LTE mobile networks is competing with WIMAX company like Sprint which had claimed in 2006 that they will reach 100 million people by the end of year 2008.In fact till 2008 they were present in only one city.Clearwire combined with Sprint competing with verizon .

IMT - Advanced (4G) - The technology of mobile wireless broadband in preparation

The new rules on radio interface revolutionize mobile communications

Geneva, 21 October 2009 - ITU has received six presentations of candidate technologies for the title of mobile broadband technology in global 4G wireless, known as IMT-Advanced. It is expected that in October 2010, selected technologies will give the official designation of IMT-Advanced, in order to classify them as true 4G technologies.

The presentations were made in Dresden, Germany, during the meeting of Working Group 5D of Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) in response to an open invitation in March 2008. The meeting took place from 14 to 21 October 2009.

The six proposals revolved around technology LTE 3GPP Release 10 and later systems (LTE-Advanced) and IEEE 802.16my technology will be evaluated according to the requirements of ITU-R and applying an evaluation procedure defined. This rigorous evaluation to take place over the next year, will be accompanied by the work of independent external evaluation groups that have been created worldwide and shall be under the direction of the Working Party 5D ITU-R.

Together with the Dresden meeting, the third Workshop on IMT-Advanced given to holders of technology proposals and groups responsible for evaluating the opportunity to exchange ideas. As a first start for the assessment phase were recorded in the ITU-R assessment fourteen groups, representing the full range of stakeholders, including equipment manufacturers, technology designers, network operators and service providers, business organizations and users, universities, research institutions and national administrations.

The Secretary General of ITU, Dr. Hamadoun Toure, expressed his appreciation for this global effort: "We note with enthusiasm that technological advances in the field of wireless communications continues to expand its scope and range of application to enrich the lives of people around the world. ITU has a rich history of over 25 years acting as coordinator and promoter of global telecommunications systems international mobile broadband multimedia. IMT-Advanced technologies continue this tradition by marching not only to the forefront of strategic vision, but also to translate that vision into a practical reality in this harsh environment of ICT. "

Mr. Valery Timofeev, Director of the Radiocommunication Bureau of ITU, welcomed all the representatives from government, regulators and industry that actively participated in the evaluation of IMT-Advanced to successfully achieve this important milestone in the choice of radio interface technology.

Mr. Stephen Blust, Director of Radio Standards, AT & T, and Chairman of the Working Party 5D, expressed the view that: "In 2002, when he forged the strategic vision for 4G technologies - which we designate as IMT-Advanced - in Anticipating future market needs in the longer term, we created a new level of expectations about the capabilities and performance of the global mobile wireless broadband that, at that time, many thought would be impossible to achieve in this decade. When in 2008 the ITU-R requirements stipulated the detailed performance of IMT-Advanced, really raised the bar for wireless mobile communications. It is gratifying to note that those interested in the mobile wireless industry have faced this challenge, and there is every reason to expect such proposals to the vision becomes a reality in the near term. "

The close association between members of ITU-R and the global wireless industry around the work on IMT-Advanced is underpinned by the success of IMT-2000 system (3G), defined by the ITU, which continues to improve in response to market demands.

In technologically developed countries its time to shift from 3g wireless broadband to 4g networks. It will enhance our virtual presence every where.
